HMS Loch Lomond

The name HMS Loch Almond was an unofficial name used by the crew and came about when HMS Loch Alvie became beyond economical repair after a speed trial in Singapore in 1963 and the crew transferring to HMS Loch Lomond.  It was upon the return of Loch Alvie to the Dockyard, that the crew of Loch Killisport welcomed us with 'A Hard Day's Night' blasting away over her Tannoy system!!!

The majority of information on the site has been taken from the Decommissioning Magazine loaned from L/Sea Enoksen, the Commissioning Service and Xmas Day Menu by LM(E) Wakelin
